December Hugs and Christmas Wishes

Hello everyone,

I have made a Chrsitmas card using Pion Design's Christmas Wishes collection of papers and used the Pion Design Palette Green VI to diecut the LDRS Holly Border and Fantasy Fir Branches 2.  I used the Dutch Doobadoo Pearl Pen for the little berries on the holly.

I made Foamiran poinsettias using White and Burgundy Foamiran.  I added Heart Head stamens in Olive and Burgundy and finished with sisal, wax cord, vintage straws, frosted pomegranates, cinnamon sticks and a bark star.

I love the new borders dies from LDRS and I also love the Wycinanka Tatting Chritmas chipboard, doesn't it look gorgeous  I added the sentiment from the Christmas Wishes Border sheet to finish this card.

Hope you like it

An advent wreath

 Hello everyone!

I know, an advent wreath is a german tradition - but it may have made its way to other countries as well. It's a wreath with 4 candles and each of the four sundays before christmas one more candle gets lit up so all four of them are burning on Christmas Eve.

I have made a not to traditional advent wreath to share with you today:

Usually they are made from fir branches. But well, we papercrafters have to think outside the box, right?

A box is also what my wreath is put onto - with a large tag in the background.

I have cut the box from brown cardstock and also cut the tag slightly bigger to glue behind it and make it more stable.
Around the box I've wrapped one of the borders from a designer's paper by Pion Design.

I've put a square from the beautiful paper with the hearts print on top of the wreath, then I've cut four holes into it so the lights can be put through them. The main part of the lights is hidden inside the box.

The wreath is made from a ring of green cardstock from which I've cut out the four holes again, making them match in position.

Of course an advent wreath also needs some decorations. Here I used a few of the chipboard stars by Scrapiniec and some 5mm glass stamen - again only using the ends here.

As I said before, I've glued a large tag to the back of the box. The tag - and the saying - are both cut from papers by Pion Design.

Onto the tag I then glued the Tree with Snowflakes. It was cut from white cardstock and from green cardstock also. I've cut the green tree down a bit so the snowflakes and a white "frame" from the white cardstock can be seen. I used a white gelly marker to add the gardland to the tree.

This cute elf is by Whimsy Stamps - and he's ready to decorate the tree.
He was colored in with Copics, then cut out and put in front of the tree. I also used golden Stickles for the bells on his costume.

Next to the elf I've added two white paper roses.

And since I said I made an advent wreath I also needed it to be able to light up. You only have to screw closed the little bulbs. Best thing about it is that they all need to be switched on individually, so you can light up just one, two, three or all four "candles" - just like it needs to be done.

Have a happy sunday everyone!
Hugs, Kathrin

Teacup Full of Wishes

Hi again,

I have had fun again playing with more LDRS Creative Dies and the oh so cute LDRS Creative Teacup Full of Wishes by Polkadoodles coloured with distress inks.  I have used the Grace Build a Die Set, I love the elegant fluted edge of the circle and the dashed and dotted faux stitched effect of the inner circle and not to forget how awesome the stitched leaves are, I do love a leaf :)

I added two segments from the Dainty Doily Edge Die, another favourite.

The image was diecut using the Fancy Rectangles and Things die set.

To the floral bouquet I used Hybrid Tea Roses, 10mm open roses, sweetheart blossom, pixie blossom, meadow spray in white, rose buds and finished with an organza ribbon which I heated with my heat gun to give it that shabby vintage feel, love this effect.

The text was stamped from an LDRS Sentiment Set     which is currently on sale :)

Hope you like it :)

Joyous Winterday

Good day!!  Eeeeeeeeee I finally got my Maja Design "Joyous Winterdays" collection and have played just a little.  They are STUNNING and I can't wait to play some more.  I've used some Scrapiniec confetti stars and one teeny heart.  You HAVE to buy some of these!  (Or you could leave them all for me! 😀 ha ha ha!) They come on a sheets of 3 different sizes of stars and hearts.  What a perfect little embellie to add to any card.

I'm also excited to have received Joy's "Winter Wishes Birch Trees" die.  I have wanted something like this for years. Why haven't I bought any until now?  Wellllll, maybe I was waiting for just the right one.  LOL!  I also have the cutest deer from Fantasy wouldn't you say?

I stamped out MERRY using Joy's new Scrabble Stamp and Die set, distressed the edges and popped them onto a strip of Maja paper.  I've also been at it again making more Foamiran flowers.

I made so many this time I had leftovers!  I've used Whimsy's "Lily/Poinsettia" die as well as their latest "Christmas Branches" die set and OH MY!  There are soooo many amazing dies in this collection that it is just PERFECT to have in your stash.  I know I'll be getting lots of use out of this one!  I added a Prima wax bow, some berries and a gorgeous Scrapiniec tatting chipboard heart.  Oh those are amazing too!

Awwwwwwwwww!!!!  That's all I could think when I seen this adorable image from Whimsy called Penguin Warm Winter Wishes.  I've colored it up with my Copics and added some glitter on most of the fur.

That's all for me today!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!

Christmas Cheer

Hi Everyone,

I have been playing today with the NEW LDRS Winter Land paper pad.  These are so high quality that I used the matching papers to make all my diecuts too :)  I used the NEW LDRS Snowy Day Border and used one of the beautiful papers capturing the darker tones to the top of the snowflakes and it looks cool in real life.

I added Wycinanka Lace Baubles mixed and finished with a Foamiran Poinsettia using the smallest petal die from  NEW Rosy Owl Poinsettia die set, finished with heart headed stamens and added a wax cord bow and the holly leaves cut from the NEW LDRS Holly

I diecut the Christmas word and Cheer word twice, once in white cardstock and once from the Winter Land paper pad and offset against each other.

You can see in the below picture the gorgeous Snowy Day Border.

Christmas Skating

Good Morning,

With the weather finally getting a bit colder, we have actually had a couple of frosts. It's time to get cracking with the Christmas Cards & with all the gorgeous Christmas papers in store there is so much to choose from.

I have coloured up Ice Tilda using Inktense Pencils & have added some dots using a Silver Pearl Pen from Dutch Doobadoo. These are currently on sale in the store :-)

I have been out with the Snowtex again and have made all the flowers look lovely & snowy.

I have used the new Happy Holidays Holly Leaves die, you can see the holly leaves just peaking out from under the flowers.

I nearly forgot I have used some of the New papers from Maja Designs called Joyous Winterdays, these papers are just gorgeous & perfect for this time of year.

Well thank you for taking the time to look at my project, pop back tomorrow for some more inspiration from the DT.

Have a lovely day

Christmas Glove Card

Hello everyone!

Time before Christmas is time for feverish preparation for all kinds of handmade cards and presents. I've had so mush fun playing with anything Christmassy, glittering and sparkling stuff around me.

Today I'm going to show you one of my favourite shapes of a Christmas card, a Glove shape!

For the base of my glove-shaped card I used PION design, Long time ago in Bethlehem, which is ON SALE,  Holy Scripture paper sheet stitched with brown, masked with Viva Decor 3D Ice Effect White, sprinkled with Viva Decor Ice Crystals .

I embellished my card with a Handmade Foamiran Poinsettia Flower made out of Poppy Red Foamiran. For the Holly leaves I used Sea Green Foamiran.

I also add some JoyCraft Berries- Natural, White and Red  Wax Cord, a cut of Lace Elenor, Miniature Larch Cones Shabby white and my favourite Vintage Seam Bindings. Accomplished my Glove card with a little wooden embossed  sentiment ''JOY'' on the right bottom corner.

Wishing all of you a happy week!
